The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has joined in investigating a report that turned out to be a lie about a "dirty" bomb on a container ship that arrived in the US port of Charleston after a flight from Oman.
According to ABC News, local and federal authorities are involved in the investigation, despite the US Coast Guard's announcement of a warning about the danger and the removal of the safe zone that had already been imposed at the port on the grounds of fears of a bomb on board a ship.
